On dropping out from highschool to go into the working world

From his school days...

To the star he is today...

So Hee and Sun Mi of the Wondergirls have decided to drop out of school for their careers in the music industry. Other celebrities who have done the same as them include Boa, Big Bang's Dae Sung and Seung Ri, and of course Hyun Joong.

Hyun Joong has openly admitted to dropping out of highschool for his love of music. However, he also stated that that was one thing he regreted doing and decided in the end to finish his highschool years, and graduated with a highschool diploma in 2006. He is now a university student.

I kinda understand why celebrities would choose their careers over their education, I mean look at the stress they face with the job. Add schoolwork and classes and exams into that schedule and it's a recipe for self anhilation. But I do hope that these students will do what Hyun Joong did, because at the end of the day, to me at least, an education is essential for every human being. It's the one thing that you can give yourself that nobody can take away from you, and also the one thing that empowers you to be able to do everything you believe you can do.

Celebrities that go back to do graduate school are the ones that I really admire and hope to emulate. I am contemplating doing grad school, but have been putting it off because of work... and I'm not even half as busy as these people!

Which tells me what a bum I can be... Gah...

But I will one day. I just need to push myself that little bit more!

Hmmm... make it that mile more... ^^
