Hyun Joong says 'Goodbye'

Hyun Joong finally made the plunge and left DSP Entertainment. I know that there are countless of reports out there churning out all the same info that he has left DSP for Bae Yong Joon's Keyeast, but I thought that I'd just share my thoughts on this matter.

It's been something that has brought about much speculation ever since news came out that his contract with DSP was ending and that he was being scouted by other companies. Would he stay? Would he move on? Some people viewed this as a test of his loyalty and of his character as DSP were the ones who 'found' him, moulded him, made him the 'Kim Hyun Joong, Asian superstar' that we all know and love today.

Honestly speaking, I am grateful to DSP for polishing this stone into the fine gem that he is today. One cannot deny that without the backing and smart marketing of agencies, even the most talented people can go unnoticed. But does that mean that he should stay on just because they were the ones who gave him the opportunity to be where he is today?

Maybe, to some people.

But there's also another faction which believes that one should always look forward, look for ways to further improve oneself. As well as learn how to grab opportunities when they come knocking, especially when one feels that one can achieve so much more in another place.

I don't know what his reasons for leaving are, but all I know is one thing, that as a fan, I'll support whatever decision he makes. Only he knows what he's going through and to be able to make such a decision, I believe that he has thought everything through and found out that at the end of the day, this is the right choice.

So my take on the matter is, congratulations Hyun Joong! I look forward to seeing more success from you!

Plus it wouldn't hurt if you added some extra, extremely favorable news as well!

Just my two cents on the matter!

Hi there!

I've been a silent reader for the past few months. And I must say that I keep looking forward to hearing your opinions. =)

Regarding this matter, I totally agree with you. It's Kim Hyun Joong's right to do whatever he wants and only he knows what's best for him.

In my opinion, we as a fan should support his decision. And I really hope that he will lead a happier life after this. =)

I for one am anticipating that favorable news as well, kekeke....
I'm pretty sure he will get some bashing, but I'm in favor of his decision to sign different contract. He has so much potential, and staying with DSP, I don't think would have given him the opportunity to go further. After all, we have to look after #1, and that is oneself. I'm sure he'll still be able to make music, and just want to wish him all the best and may all his dreams come to be.

I support his departure from DSP. I believe he can achieve more from where he has signed up now and I like that he has taken commitment from his new agency to allow him to still work with SS501.

By the way, I have been reading your archives Chonsa and I love reading your summaries and transcripts of WGM, many thanks. I know I watched those videos a million times already and read you blogs since last year but ssangchu still never fails to evoke deep emotion from me especially they were thinking about imminent departure.

I totally agree with you...Maybe he has fans who will always support him and the harsh thing is without his fans,he would be nothing..But,it does not mean that he has to do every single thing his fans want, right? He has his own life which he himself knows how to make it more enjoyable for him. We,his fans, can only pray the best for him.FIGHTING KIM HYUN JOONG!

Kim Hyun Joong is one of those people that just grows on you, errr...what do you call that? "eye candy" haha.
I love watching K-Drama's, it's how I happened upon 'BOF'. Honestly, I thought KHJ was Handsome, even tho' my friends said he looked like a girl, lol. After watching BOF, I googled him, found out he was in WGM with Hwangbo, from there it was JOONGBO FEVER, kekeke
I think it's a pretty hard thing to be an idol, always having to give fan service. But people need to realize KHJ is human too, he has needs, we all do.
I support his signing of a different contract, but also believe he'll still be involved with SS501. As fans, we know his persistence in what he believes.

Hyun Joong, I just wanna wish you the best, hoping your dreams will become a reality sooner.

GO GO GO.......

First I heard about this, I thought, "what was he thinking?" Is this a career move? What about SS501? Then I heard he got the lead in the Korean version of "It Started With A Kiss" dubbed "Mischievous Kiss".

Then, it's okay.

I figured as long as he's doing good and being good, good karma would come his way. {Is it true he donated money to a charity in the Philippines?} That's cool.
